Frame Description This frame is the perfect starting point to build the bike of your dreams. Design and Innovation The Aethos frame was designed to create the perfect combination of ride quality, lightness and style – so you can accelerate even on steep climbs, descend the most technical downhills and stay comfortable during long Sunday rides. But you're probably wondering how we pulled it off? We reinvented the traditional road bike shape of the past, tweaking it slightly to optimize rigidity and balance, without compromising weight or durability. The Aethos is more than a new bike, it's the beginning of a new generation. Ride Quality A super-light frame is useless if the ride characteristics don't inspire confidence. That's why with the Aethos we searched for the perfect mix of front and rear stiffness in relation to ride quality. By studying the flexibility and every minute detail of the carbon fiber, we discovered a lot about how forces travel through the frame. Just a few pedal strokes and you'll realize that the Aethos sets a new standard for ride quality. Details and Materials Every detail, from the derailleur hanger to the expander on the stem, was designed with style, weight and durability in mind. We also included the new Alpinist carbon seatpost to shave off extra weight and optimize ride characteristics – all for perfect handling.
