The S-Works Aethos was designed to create the perfect combination of ride quality, lightness and style – so you can accelerate even on the steepest climbs, descend the most technical descents and stay comfortable during those long Sunday rides. But you might wonder, how did we do it? We reinvented the traditional road bike shape of the past, tweaking it slightly to optimize stiffness and balance, without compromising weight or durability. With a completely new layup, refined over many decades, you get the lightest frame on the market (585 grams for the S-Works 56 size). The Aethos is more than just a new bike, it's the beginning of a new generation. A super-light frame doesn't mean anything if the ride characteristics don't inspire confidence. That's why with the Aethos we sought the perfect mix of front and rear stiffness in relation to ride quality. By studying the flexibility and every detail of the carbon fibers, we discovered a lot about how forces travel through the frame. It'll take you just a few pedal strokes to realize that the Aethos represents a new standard of ride.
