Description

Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL8 2023 AERODYNAMICS We use aerodynamics where it matters most, and in the process we've created our fastest road bike ever – yes, even more aerodynamic than the Venge. The front end has been optimized to gain the maximum advantage. The fork crown is positioned further back relative to the front of the head tube to deliver significantly lower aerodynamic drag. Thanks to the new UCI rules, on the SL8 we were able to use the narrowest and most aerodynamic seatpost we've ever made, ensuring that turbulent air around the legs can flow more easily toward the rear of the bike. LIGHTWEIGHT To create the Tarmac SL8 and build the most aerodynamic bike possible while still meeting UCI minimum weight requirements, we drew on everything we learned with the Aethos. The team crafted a 685-gram frame — 15% lighter than the Tarmac SL7 and lighter than any other bike in the World Tour*. By focusing on achieving the ultimate in low weight at the down tube, seat tube, and rear end of the bike, we applied the lessons learned during the Aethos project. The frame shapes respond to stress so efficiently that it was possible to reduce material thickness, eliminating everything that wasn't needed. *Except for that one time Kasper Asgreen raced on our 585-gram Aethos frame during a Tour stage. RIDE QUALITY The Tarmac SL8's stiffness-to-weight ratio is 33% better than the SL7's. The Tarmac SL8 sets a new benchmark for handling: it's precise in the most demanding situations and responds immediately and efficiently to pedal inputs. While the areas responsible for power transfer and steering precision are stiffer than ever, the Tarmac SL8 is more comfortable underway, filtering 6% more road vibration and letting you attack corners with a sense of agility and balance that's unique in the road bike world. The new Tarmac SL8 keeps the proven geometry of the SL7 model, with the same generous clearance for 32 mm tyres, so you can run a higher-volume tyre whenever you need it. BEYOND GENDER DIFFERENCES In reality, there can be far greater differences between two male cyclists than between a man and a woman. We design for the individual and our philosophy is simple: Don't create differences where there aren't any. Every cyclist, male or female, can take advantage of everything the Tarmac SL8 has to offer. It's time to move beyond. The S-Works Tarmac SL8 comes equipped with a Shimano Dura-Ace 9200 Di2 groupset with power meter, Roval Rapide CLX II tubeless-ready wheels, and Roval Rapide integrated cockpit handlebar. The Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL8 2023 is available in the following sizes: 49, 52, 54, 56, 58, 61 Milkywayshop.it is the online store of the long-established brick-and-mortar shop Nuova Corti Shop S.R.L in Sassuolo (MO).
