VIBRATION ABSORPTION The Future Shock 3.0 cartridge is the new star in the firmament, more adjustable and more durable. These two things together form the 'AfterShock' technology, and combined with the Roubaix's stiff rear triangle, they create a smooth ride without compromising efficiency. The Roubaix SL8 is the most comfortable race bike ever tested by our Ride Science Team — it reduces handlebar impacts by 53% compared to other bikes in this category. With the Future Shock 3.0 cartridge, the wheel glides over obstacles while you stay stable and hold your line on rough terrain. Normally, the fork deflects backward on impact, causing a loss of speed. It's science: more comfortable means faster.
