But you're probably wondering, how did we pull it off? We reinvented the traditional road bike shape of the past, tweaking it slightly to optimize stiffness and balance, without compromising weight or durability. The Aethos is more than just a new bike, it's the beginning of a new generation. An ultralight frame means nothing if the ride characteristics don't inspire confidence. That's why with the Aethos we searched for the perfect mix of front and rear stiffness in relation to ride quality. By studying the flex and every minute detail of the carbon fibre, we discovered a lot about how forces travel through the frame. A few pedal strokes will be all you need to realize that the Aethos sets a new standard for ride feel. Every detail, from the derailleur mount to the expander on the stem, has been designed with style, weight and durability in mind. We also included an Alpinist seatpost and wheels in carbon fibre to shave more weight and optimize ride characteristics – all for perfect handling.
