Drivetrain The Aethos Expert runs an SRAM Rival eTap AXS electronic drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes and Roval C38 Disc carbon wheels. Frame The Aethos frame was designed to create the perfect combination of ride quality, light weight and style – so you can accelerate on steep climbs, nail the most technical descents and stay comfortable even on long Sunday rides. But you're probably wondering, how did we do it? We re-invented the traditional road bike geometry of the past, tweaking it to optimise stiffness and balance, without compromising weight or strength. The Aethos is more than a new bike — it's the beginning of a new generation. Ride Quality An ultralight frame means nothing if the ride characteristics don't inspire confidence. That's why for the Aethos we chased the perfect mix of front and rear stiffness in relation to ride quality. By studying the flex and every tiny detail of the carbon fibres, we discovered a lot about how forces travel through the frame. It'll only take a few pedal strokes for you to realise that the Aethos sets a whole new standard in riding. Construction Details Every detail, from the derailleur hanger to the stem expander, has been designed with style, weight and strength in mind. We also spec'd the new carbon Alpinist seatpost to shave even more weight and optimise the ride characteristics — all in pursuit of the perfect ride.
