WORD OF THE DAY, AERO! The new S5 is 6.3 Watts faster than the current version (data obtained in wind tunnel testing at 30mph). These gains were made possible thanks to major improvements made mainly in the front of the bike, but also thanks to the incredible integration work of the asymmetric profiles of the seatube and rear wheel. Cervélo has long been the industry leader when it comes to aerodynamics and, tests in hand, the new S5 is at least 5 Watts faster than the bikes of our most direct competitors. INTEGRATED ONE-PIECE HANDLEBAR The new HB19 One-Piece handlebar uses our "Plus-Four" concept, meaning the drop on the top of the bar is 4 cm narrower than the bottom section (for example, 38 cm/42 cm). This approach helps riders maintain a more aerodynamic body position while their hands are on the hoods and provides stability on the drops when tackling descents and sprints. All handlebar sizes comply with UCI regulations, in light of the most recent regulatory changes. The best part? Despite the increase in aerodynamic surface area the new S5 is 124 grams lighter than the previous model. While the significant increase in fork and steerer tube dimensions inevitably led to an obvious increase in weight, we optimized the carbon layup and all hardware to make the system even lighter. NEW RESERVE 57|64 TA The new Reserve 57|64 Turbulent Aero wheelset was developed jointly by Reserve and Cervélo, designed and optimized in the wind tunnel alongside the new S5 frame. The asymmetry of the rear wheel matches the seatube, ensuring smooth airflow that reduces its overall drag. The new wheelset is 3 Watts faster than the current 52|63 wheels while delivering the same weight.
