KEYWORD: AERO! The new S5 is 6.3 Watts faster than the current version (data obtained in wind tunnel testing at 30mph). These gains were possible thanks to major improvements made mainly in the front part of the bike, but also thanks to the incredible work of integrating the asymmetric profiles of the seatube and rear wheel. Cervélo has long been the industry leader when it comes to aerodynamics and, test after test, the new S5 is at least 5 Watts faster than the bikes of our most direct competitors. ONE-PIECE INTEGRATED HANDLEBAR The new HB19 One-Piece handlebar uses our "Plus-Four" concept, meaning the width of the handlebar's upper hand position is 4 cm narrower than the lower position (for example, 38 cm/42 cm). This approach helps riders maintain a more aerodynamic body position while their hands are in the upper hand position and provides stability in the lower hand position when tackling descents and sprints. All handlebar sizes comply with UCI regulations, including in light of the most recent rule changes. The best part? Despite the increase in aerodynamic surface area, the new S5 is 124 grams lighter than the previous model. While the significant increase in fork and headtube dimensions naturally led to increased weight, we've optimized the carbon layup and entire hardware to make the system even lighter. NEW RESERVE 57|64 TA The new Reserve 57|64 Turbulent Aero wheelset was developed jointly by Reserve and Cervélo, designed and optimized in the wind tunnel together with the new S5 frame. The asymmetry of the rear wheel adapts to the seatube, ensuring smooth airflow that reduces its overall drag. The new wheelset is 3 Watts faster than the current 52|63 wheels while maintaining the same weight.
