THE WORD IS AERO! The new S5 is 6.3 Watts faster than the current version (data obtained in wind tunnel testing at 30mph). These gains were made possible thanks to major improvements mainly on the front of the bike, but also thanks to the incredible work integrating the asymmetric profiles of the seatube and rear wheel. Cervélo has long been the industry leader when it comes to aerodynamics and, testing to prove it, the new S5 is at least 5 Watts faster than the bikes of our most direct competitors. ONE-PIECE INTEGRATED HANDLEBAR The new HB19 One-Piece handlebar uses our "Plus-Four" concept, meaning the drop measurement is 4 cm narrower on the tops than on the drops (for example, 38 cm/42 cm). This approach helps riders maintain a more aerodynamic body position while hands are on the tops and provides stability on the drops when tackling descents and sprints. All handlebar sizes comply with UCI regulations, including the latest regulatory changes. The best part? You can swap the handlebar to get your desired fit within the first 60 days of ownership. To learn more, read here. NOT JUST SPEED, BUT ALSO LIGHTWEIGHT. Despite the increased aerodynamic surface area, the new S5 is 124 grams lighter than the previous model. While the significant increase in fork and headtube dimensions did lead to an obvious weight increase, we optimized the carbon layup and entire hardware to make the system even lighter. NEW RESERVE 57|64 TA The new Reserve 57|64 Turbulent Aero wheel set was developed jointly by Reserve and Cervélo, designed and optimized in the wind tunnel together with the new S5 frame. The rear wheel asymmetry adapts to the seatube, ensuring smooth airflow that reduces its overall drag. The new wheel set is 3 Watts faster than the current 52|63 wheels while maintaining the same weight.
