MOTTO: AERO! The new S5 is 6.3 Watts faster than the current version (data obtained in wind tunnel testing at 30mph). These gains were made possible thanks to major improvements mainly in the front of the bike, but also thanks to incredible integration work on the asymmetric profiles of the seatube and rear wheel. Cervélo has long been the industry leader when it comes to aerodynamics and, test results in hand, the new S5 is at least 5 Watts faster than bikes from our closest competitors. ONE-PIECE INTEGRATED HANDLEBAR The new HB19 One-Piece handlebar uses our "Plus-Four" concept, meaning the upper hand position width is 4 cm narrower than the lower position (for example, 38 cm/42 cm). This approach helps riders maintain a more aerodynamic body position while hands are in the upper position and provides stability in the lower position when tackling descents and sprints. All handlebar sizes comply with UCI regulations, also in light of the most recent rule changes. The best part? Despite the increase in aerodynamic surface area, the new S5 is 124 grams lighter than the previous model. While the significant increase in fork and headtube dimensions obviously led to weight gain, we optimized the carbon layup and all hardware to make the system even lighter. NEW RESERVE 57|64 TA The new Reserve 57|64 Turbulent Aero wheelset was developed jointly by Reserve and Cervélo, designed and optimized in the wind tunnel alongside the new S5 frame. The rear wheel asymmetry adapts to the seatube, ensuring smooth airflow that reduces overall drag. The new wheelset is 3 Watts faster than the current 52|63 wheels while guaranteeing the same weight.
