Can you ride it to the grocery store and stop at your favorite spot for a Wall Ride? Absolutely! STATUS 2 is a bike built to be ridden anywhere and however you want. BUILT BY RIDERS: The Status 2 features a super-strong M5 aluminum frame and tough alloy wheels. Burly suspension, powerful brakes and reliable drivetrain options round out these builds for smooth pedaling and big sends with excellent stopping power. These aren't for the gram-counters — they're for the riders who push limits and go beyond. RIDE DYNAMICS TUNING: Our Specialized Ride Dynamics team developed the kinematics and dialed in the geometry to deliver a snappy, lively bike that's equally at home on technical singletrack or launching a set of stairs. CUSTOMIZATION: Every STATUS 2 model comes with flip chips (located on the Horst pivot link, near the rear axle) that let you fine-tune the frame geometry to match your riding style or terrain of choice. The bikes ship in the high position, but by flipping the chip you lower the bottom bracket by 8mm and get a more relaxed head tube angle. Flip it: bottom bracket drops 8 mm and the head tube angle goes half a degree slacker.
