The S-Works Torch represents the latest evolution in the most winning shoes in cycling. Using Body Geometry, biomimicry, data science and craftsmanship, we designed a shoe built so precisely that you'll forget you're wearing it. Leveraging data science, we refined every detail of the S-Works Torch upper for a better fit and unmatched performance. The BOA® dial is moved downward and angled, preventing forefoot lift. This evolution eliminates the need for a Velcro strap while providing a structure that enhances power and eliminating unwanted pressure or pinching. Adaptive materials allow the natural movement of the foot where needed for greater comfort, while data-driven zonal reinforcement keeps the foot snug for crisp power output and optimal efficiency. Guided by over 100,000 foot scans from our RETÜL data, we recognized that both a standard and a wide last would be suitable to best meet the full spectrum of human foot shapes. An internal reinforcement adds stiffness and strength. The result is a 20-gram weight reduction, greater efficiency and immediate power transfer. Also based on RETÜL data, we determined that more space was needed to accommodate the Achilles tendon in order to increase comfort. We solved the problem by creating an asymmetric heel cup that offers more room while maintaining an excellent connection. Then we verified that optimal knee alignment and greater comfort were maintained. The S-Works Torch has been scientifically engineered to disappear on your feet.
