The S-Works Prevail 3 helmet is perfect for cyclists who value the comfort and temperature regulation offered by superior ventilation. It is the ultimate all-round helmet that excels in hot conditions, steep climbs and mountain stages. With a relentless search for the limits of ventilation, we have eliminated the central 'bridges' from the EPS foam, which block airflow from the centre, effectively creating "channels" that increase the ventilation surface area by 24.5% compared to the S-Works Prevail II Vent. The brand-new S-Works Prevail 3 has the largest ventilation area of any helmet we have ever made. When a helmet takes an impact, its job is to dissipate the energy generated. The conventional approach is that more foam (EPS) means better energy management. We have rewritten the book on cycling helmet design by going beyond foam. Aramid cables run through the helmet and are anchored to the carbon fibre side panels. On impact, AirCage* technology works like a suspension bridge and is designed to distribute localised forces throughout the helmet. The rear dial allows a personalised fit, and the helmet's angle can also be adjusted for compatibility with glasses. The TriFix system now has thinner straps to prevent any irritation. The Mindset retention system with micro-adjuster is very lightweight and has even better grip for on-the-fly adjustment while pedalling. MIPS Node Air technology is integrated into the padding with a thin layer designed to dissipate rotational forces. Perforations have been added to further improve comfort and performance.
