For a long time, helmets have been defined by two of these three features: lightness, ventilation and aerodynamics. As you know, however, we don't follow these rules – or actually, we just don't care. We prefer to change the standards and create products that nobody has ever imagined. To prove it, just look at the S-Works Evade helmet. It is simply the fastest road helmet there is. Together with the creators of MIPS, we have developed MIPS SL – a new version, ultralight and extremely comfortable. MIPS SL essentially integrates MIPS technology into the helmet's padding itself. The minimalist retention system provides 10 to 15 mm of rotation in every direction, offering the same protective benefits as other MIPS systems, while being very light and comfortable. For the aerodynamic development of the Evade, we practically moved into the wind tunnel. Having it fully at our disposal allows us to start with the aerodynamics of the design, instead of testing after the fact. The performance of this helmet was thoroughly analysed in the wind tunnel, then followed by road tests, so as not to leave anything to chance. The Evade was created through countless hours of development and testing, and the result is the fastest road helmet we have ever tested. Not only have we reduced air resistance, we have done so without compromising safety thanks to the new Energy Optimized Multi-Density EPS construction (density varying according to the zone). As for ventilation, air flowing freely through the helmet keeps you cooler than ever, while also reducing drag. Aerodynamics and ventilation work in parallel and were optimised together in the wind tunnel to find the best combination. The air intakes and internal channels were designed to let the maximum amount of air through the helmet, for perfect ventilation. The new Evade is cool, it feels like riding without a helmet. The most ventilated aero helmet on the market. Wearing the Evade will save you 50 seconds over 40 km compared to a traditional road helmet, and about 6 seconds compared to the previous version. In short, cool and also fast. In the road helmet market, there is nothing like it. Last but certainly not least, a fast helmet is useless if the fit isn't perfect.
