For a long time, helmets have been defined by two of these three characteristics: lightness, ventilation and aerodynamics. As you know, however, we don't follow these rules – or to be honest, we simply don't care. We prefer to change the standards and create products nobody has imagined yet. To prove it, just take a look at the S-Works Evade helmet. It is simply the fastest road helmet out there. Together with the creators of MIPS, we have developed MIPS SL – a new, ultralight and extremely comfortable version. MIPS SL essentially integrates MIPS technology into the helmet's padding itself. The minimalist fit system provides 10 to 15 mm of rotation in every direction, offering the same protective benefits as other MIPS systems, while being very light and comfortable. For the aerodynamic development of the Evade, we practically moved into the wind tunnel. Having it fully at our disposal allows us to start with the aerodynamics of the design, instead of testing after the fact. The performance of this helmet was analysed in depth in the wind tunnel, then followed by road tests, so that nothing was left to chance. The Evade was developed through countless hours of development and testing, and the result is the fastest road helmet we have ever tested. Not only have we reduced air resistance, we managed to do it without compromising safety thanks to the new EPS Energy Optimized Multi-Density construction (density varying across different zones). As for ventilation, air flowing freely through the helmet keeps you cooler than ever, while also reducing drag. Aerodynamics and ventilation work in parallel and were optimised together in the wind tunnel, to find the best combination. The air vents and internal channels were designed to let the maximum amount of air through the helmet, for perfect ventilation. The new Evade is cool, it feels like riding without a helmet. The most ventilated aero helmet on the market. Wearing the Evade will save you 50 seconds over 40 km compared to a traditional road helmet, and about 6 seconds compared to the previous version. In short, cool and fast. On the road helmet market, there is nothing like it. Last but certainly not least, a fast helmet is useless if the fit isn't perfect.
