We took everything we learned creating the Crux in carbon and built it in alloy, using our proprietary D'Aluisio Smartweld technology. We created the most capable, agile, balanced, and responsive alloy gravel bike ever made for fast, fun, and performant riding. And yeah, it's also the lightest. Some might call it a carbon copy, but we call it Crux DSW. Lightweight At just 1399 grams*, the Crux DSW frame is the lightest alloy gravel frame in the world. Paired with our Fact12r Crux carbon fork and a performance build, the Crux DSW tips the scales at 9.37 kg: no alloy gravel bike can compete. *56 cm size in the lightest colorway. Production frames may have tolerance. Capability More tire clearance means more capability: that's why the Crux DSW has the same tire space as the carbon version: 47 mm and up to 2.1″ with a 650b wheel. With the lightweight and durable alloy frame and wide-section tires, the Crux DSW can take you anywhere, and at full speed. Ultra Responsive Responsive underfoot and lively in the saddle. We used D'Aluisio Smartweld to unlock alloy's properties and deliver a ride that was previously impossible without carbon—and we combined it with the same high-performance gravel geometry and race-inspired saddle position as the carbon Crux. A longer reach offers better weight distribution for quick and confident handling, while a lower stack creates an aggressive position. With a 72 mm bottom bracket drop, we hit the perfect balance between agility and stability. D'Aluisio Smartweld D'Aluisio Smartweld—or DSW—is a proprietary engineering process that uses hydroforming for maximum precision in tube junctions, stronger and better welds, and ultimately a lighter frame that can be twice as strong as a traditional alloy frame. Our Smartweld technology helps us create a sloping tube and bottom bracket in one piece for the Crux, reducing weight and amplifying responsiveness.
