STATUS 2 is a bike built to be ridden anywhere and however you want. BUILT BY RIDERS: The Status 2 offers a super strong M5 aluminum frame and tough alloy wheels. Resilient suspension, powerful brakes, and reliable drivetrain options complete these models for smooth pedaling and handling big jumps with outstanding braking performance. They're not for those watching their weight — they're for riders who push limits and go beyond. RIDE DYNAMICS TUNING: Our Specialized Ride Dynamics team developed the kinematics and refined the geometry to deliver a snappy, lively bike, suited for both technical singletrack and jumping a flight of stairs. CUSTOMIZATION: Every STATUS 2 model features flip chips (located on the Horst pivot link, near the rear axle) that allow riders to precisely adjust the frame geometry based on their preferred riding style or terrain. Bikes ship in the high position, but flipping the chip lowers the bottom bracket by 8mm and creates a more relaxed head angle.
