We created the most capable, agile, balanced, and responsive alloy gravel bike ever made for fast, fun, and high-performance riding. And yes, it's also the lightest. Production frames may have a tolerance. Capability More clearance means more capability: that's why the Crux DSW has the same tire clearance as the carbon version — 47 mm and up to 2.1" with a 650b wheel. With its light and durable alloy frame and wide-section tires, the Crux DSW can take you anywhere, at full speed. Responsiveness Pedal-responsive and supple in the saddle. We used D'Aluisio Smartweld to bring out the best properties of alloy and deliver a ride previously impossible without carbon, combining it with the same high-performance gravel geometry and race-inspired saddle position of the carbon Crux. A longer reach provides better weight distribution for quick and confident handling, while a lower stack creates an aggressive position. With a 72 mm bottom bracket drop, we achieve the perfect mix of agility and stability. D'Aluisio Smartweld D'Aluisio Smartweld — or DSW — is a patented engineering process that uses hydroforming for maximum precision at tube junctions, for better and stronger welds and, ultimately, a lighter frame that can be twice as strong as a traditional alloy frame. Our Smartweld technology helps us create a downtube and bottom bracket in a single piece for the Crux, reducing weight and amplifying responsiveness.
