Description
The S-Works EXOS, weighing just 150 grams, is the lightest Boa-system shoe in the world. At the same time, it has all the technological features of the S-Works range needed by professional riders on the World Tour circuit. To cut the weight down to 150 grams without compromising power transfer to the pedals, we used every engineering "trick" imaginable. The carbon fibre outsole was designed with the help of Finite Element Analysis and pressure mapping to identify the areas where weight could be shaved off. This also allowed us to achieve unmatched stiffness. The upper and the heel cup are completely new. The aerospace-grade Dyneema™ mesh features Cubic Tech reinforcements, while the heel cup moulds to the back of the foot, so you don't waste a single watt. The Warp Sleeve design allowed us to eliminate the toe box. This further reduced the weight and increased comfort. For comfort, we kept all the Body Geometry features, well known and appreciated, such as the arch support, the Varus Wedge and the metatarsal support, designed on the basis of scientific data. Tests have proven their effectiveness in optimising power, increasing efficiency and reducing the risk of sports injuries. The S-Works EXOS is the shoe with the lightest Boa retention system.
