Roval Rapide CL II Wheels The Rapide CL II wheels share a lot with the Rapide CLX II, at a more accessible price point. Starting with the same tubeless rims. Thanks to an algorithm used in the modelling that calculates real-world reaction times, we developed a front rim that reduces air resistance while also increasing stability in sudden crosswind conditions. The rear wheel is the last to face the wind and has therefore been designed to reduce turbulence. Since the rear wheel doesn't affect steering, the depth of the rear rim has no impact on handling. The Rapide CL II are hand-built, feature DT Swiss 350 hubs with a 36t Star Ratchet system and straight Competition Race spokes. This reliable, durable and high-performance wheelset weighs 1590 grams. There's no denying that a tubeless setup offers the benefits of lower rolling resistance, superior handling and excellent puncture protection. Thanks to engineering and extensive testing, the Rapide CL exceed current strength standards by almost twice and are incredibly light. The hook bead rim design (which lets you run up to 110 psi if that's what you're after) ensures a perfect tyre seal and easy installation.
