Decades of experience with this material allowed us to create a product with an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. Handlebars have been getting wider in recent years, and this creates quite a few challenges; for example, it has increased the leverage stress at the stem. The Traverse SL handlebar has a 35mm clamp diameter, increasing strength in this area and spreading the load over a larger surface. A more secure connection and a stronger handlebar – not bad. Thanks to our knowledge of carbon lay-up, we were also able to program a certain amount of flex for a more comfortable ride.
