Cyclocross Bike Specialized CruX 2021 This Crux is equipped with the SRAM Apex 1 groupset with hydraulic disc brakes, sturdy Axis Elite Disc wheels and Tracer Sport 700×33 tires, perfect for technical terrain. For the frame we adopted our Rider-First Engineered™ technology, originally developed for the Tarmac. With tube shapes and lay-up specific to each size, this technology ensures the same ride behavior across all frame sizes. Not only that, the CruX is also very light. We also know that cyclocross races are often won in the corners, while passing and hopping over obstacles. The CruX geometry takes this into account. The tube profile makes it easy to shoulder the bike, and the main triangle opening is generous. For cornering stability, the geometry features a low bottom bracket and a responsive front end so you can take corners faster, on any terrain. To shed mud, we left 8mm of clearance on all sides of a 33mm tire. It's nice to have a light bike, but if it gets weighed down with 5kg of mud, we've missed the point.
