Tarmac Comp Description The Tarmac Comp features an SL7 frame and runs the new Shimano 105 Di2 12-speed electronic groupset – a lightweight all-round bike with wireless shifting at a reasonable price. Aerodynamics Aerodynamics is everything; it's the motto we've been living by for years and it's also what defines the Tarmac's design. For the tube shapes that create the fastest frame while staying fully UCI-compliant, we drew inspiration from the Venge and our FreeFoil Shape Library of optimized profiles. We went back to our wind tunnel to build a modular test bike using these profiles. The result is the new Tarmac – the fastest one yet. No compromises, pure speed. Rider-First Engineered™ Always focused on developing the best bike for road racing, we used our Rider-First Engineered™ technology to make sure the new Tarmac is balanced and responsive in every frame size. Thanks to feedback from our athletes on the professional teams SD Workx, Soudal Quick-Step, Total Energies and Bora-hansgrohe, built on thousands of kilometers on the road, we've made some key changes to the Tarmac. A new balance in ride quality between the front end and the rear triangle, so that even the longest days in the saddle feel more comfortable – without compromising the Tarmac's legendary handling and responsiveness. Integrated Cockpit On the journey to create the Tarmac, we developed a clean, integrated cockpit. The cable routing is set up for any configuration – including mechanical shifting, a traditional stem, round-bar handlebars, and more. At the same time, we've kept all the aerodynamic features intact.
